Description

Tendr is an AI chatbot and shopping assistant built for WooCommerce, and an AI receptionist for any WordPress site. On a shop it knows your real catalog, prices, stock and shipping rates, recommends the right products with photo cards, adds them to the cart and sends the customer to your checkout with the shipping details already filled in. On a site without a shop it answers from your pages, guides visitors to the right section and collects their contact details.

When a visitor wants a quote or a call back, the assistant opens a contact form inside the chat and the lead reaches your dashboard, your email and, if you want, your form plugin (Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms) or a webhook. When a customer needs a person, you take over the chat live. When something can’t be solved in the chat, Tendr opens a support ticket.

Plans

Tendr is a service (SaaS) and needs a free Tendr account. The free Start plan has no time limit and needs no card: 300 conversations a month, 150 products, 20 tickets a month and lead capture. Paid plans add assisted checkout, unlimited conversations, products and tickets, live chat takeover, page indexing and full analytics. Pricing.

External services

This plugin relies on the Tendr service, operated by the plugin author, to run the assistant. Without it the chat cannot answer.

Tendr API (https://api.tendr.cc)

• Licence activation and validation: when you connect the store and periodically afterwards. Sends the licence key, the site domain and URL, and the WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin versions.
• Catalog sync: when you connect the store, when products change and daily. Sends public product data (name, descriptions, price, stock status, categories, attributes, image URL, permalink, number of sales and language).
• Store information: when you connect the store and when settings change. Sends the store name, language, currency, site icon, tagline and description, the text of the “about us” page, shipping zones and rates, cart and checkout URLs and the policy pages (shipping, returns, terms).
• Chat: only when a visitor opens the chat and writes. The visitor’s browser sends the messages, a random anonymous visitor ID, the current page URL, title, section headings and language, and a summary of the cart (products, quantities, totals). Shipping details typed in the chat form go to your own WooCommerce store, not to Tendr. Contact details typed in the lead form are stored by Tendr for you and, if you set it up, sent back to your site’s form plugin or to your webhook.

AI providers used by the Tendr service

To write the answers, the Tendr service forwards the conversation and the relevant catalog data to an AI model provider: DeepSeek by default (https://www.deepseek.com, privacy policy: https://cdn.deepseek.com/policies/en-US/deepseek-privacy-policy.html), or OpenAI if the store owner adds their own OpenAI API key in the dashboard (https://openai.com, privacy policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/). The plugin itself never calls these providers.

No payment data, passwords or card numbers are ever sent. The “Powered by Tendr” link in the chat is off by default and only appears if the store owner turns it on.
