Image Overlay Cues<\/strong> is a WordPress plugin designed to enhance the core image block with an additional overlay count feature. This plugin simplifies the process of adding content cues on top of images.<\/p>\n\n

You can add custom spacing between each individual list item with the help of this plugin.<\/p>\n\n

You can change the appearance of the count cue using the native editing controls provided by the plugin.<\/p>\n\n

Skip images if necessary<\/h3>\n\n

You can also skip images and it will automatically be recounted.<\/p>\n\n

Customising the styles<\/h3>\n\n

Image Overlay Cues<\/strong> is made with customisation in mind and therefore provides a bunch of CSS variables you can tweak.<\/p>\n\n

Here is an overview of available CSS variables which you can apply to the is-style-ioc--image--count<\/code> class to match your specific design needs:<\/p>\n\n

  • --image-overlay-cues--image-count--size<\/code>: Default 1.2em<\/code>. Defines the size of the overlay cue.<\/li>\n
  • --image-overlay-cues--image-count--top<\/code>: Default 0.5em<\/code>. Defines the top position of the overlay cue.<\/li>\n
  • --image-overlay-cues--image-count--left<\/code>: Default 0.5em<\/code>. Defines the left position of the overlay cue.<\/li>\n
  • --image-overlay-cues--image-count--text<\/code>: Default #000<\/code>. Defines the text color of the overlay cue.<\/li>\n
  • --image-overlay-cues--image-count--bg<\/code>: Default #fff<\/code>. Defines the background color of the overlay cue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Usage<\/h3>\n\n

    1. Navigate to any WordPress post\/page editor.<\/li>\n
    2. Insert or select the core image block.<\/li>\n
    3. Enable the count using the toolbar button if you are a premium user. Otherwise, enable it via the block style \"count\".<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

      1. Download the .zip<\/code> file and unzip it.<\/li>\n
      2. Upload the image-overlay-cues<\/code> folder to your \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory.<\/li>\n
