It allows me to paywall content and charge people any amount of money I want to access my articles without forcing them to subscribe or provide any identifying information. Instead of publishing my content for free, I can now leverage the PayButton plugin and the eCash cryptocurrency to ensure only those who are willing to pay for my content have access. While there are platforms like Substack that also enable paywall functionality, they force you to charge above a minimum threshold, your audience is forced to provide their credit card information, and there is no way to charge people a-la-carte for individual posts.
